The smartphone app collects measured data from the compact density and concentration meter of the same name from Anton Paar and shows them clearly arranged on the display. It simply, quickly and reliably determines your wort’s extract content, the sugar content in your grape juice, monitors your fermentation process, determines the sugar content in your home produced fruit juices and gives you information about the alcohol content in spirits with no sugar added. Awesome program, awesome tool.
Once I got this working it seems to be working perfectly. I regularly check the accuracy with distilled water (1.000 +/- 0.001), and I only need 4-5 mL to get an accurate reading. The setup issue I encountered was that it would not reliably connect to my Pixel 4XL (Android 11). Having seen that there were connectivity issues fixed with Android 10, I tried pairing it to my old OG Pixel. It connected to that phone, and since then also connects just fine to my Pixel 4XL as well.
Does not work! Do not buy. It gets stuck in the "retrieving serial number...". There is no customer support: I've emailed 6 times in the past 3 weeks with no response. I'm sending mine back.
Does not work with android 10
The only way to use the instrument is this app (or Ubrew) and both have Bluetooth connectivity issues (pixel 4xl). Sent multiple emails to the support email address listed here with ZERO response. Pretty crappy service unfortunately
Would be nice to add data input manually. Let's say I have a beer fermenting and didn't measure the OG. (But I know it) I would like to create a manual input for the OG unmeasured.
Worked great until I updated my android phone, now i have connectivity issues where it tries to connect and drops every 5 seconds... Very frustrating.
This app would be great if it worked. Connectivity issues need to be resolved. I purchased a $400 paper weight.
Same connectivity issues as others, worked great until latest Android update. Anton Paar please get this straightened out asap
